SUMMARY:IARC@60 INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE: CANCER RESEARCH INTO A
 CTION
DESCRIPTION:To close its wonderful 60th anniversary year\, IARC will offer
you the opportunity to register for a major scientific conference that
will take place over three days\, from 19 to 21 May 2026. This conference
will bring together experts from around the world and will be held at IA
 RC and la Halle Tony Garnier.\n\n\n\nDATES\n19–21 May\, 2026\n\nMAIN T
OPICS\nObjective of the conference\nThe IARC@60 conference aims to launch
a bold new era in cancer prevention and control by translating scientific
advances into impactful public health action. IARC’s vision is clear: to
create a world where fewer people develop and suffer from cancer\, both t
oday and for future generations. The IARC@60 conference will spotlight the
transformative power of science to shape healthier societies\, with a foc
us on leveraging data to guide policies\, discovering emerging risk factor
s\, and strengthening the communication of scientific evidence to drive gl
 obal progress.\n\nThematic focus\nThe IARC@60 conference\, titled “Cance
r Research into Action”\, will celebrate six decades of scientific excel
lence and global collaboration in cancer research and look ahead to the fu
ture of cancer prevention. The event will bring together scientists\, poli
cymakers\, and advocates united by a shared goal: to connect discovery wit
 h delivery\, research with real-world impact\, and science with policy.\n\
nOver three days\, participants will explore how innovation\, implementati
on\, and collaboration are transforming cancer prevention and control worl
dwide. The conference is structured around three dynamic themes that toget
her tell the story of how evidence becomes action.\n\nDiscovery and innova
tion for cancer prevention\nEvery breakthrough starts with a question. Th
is theme dives into the science that fuels discovery\, uncovering why canc
ers develop and how they can be prevented. It celebrates curiosity-driven
research and the power of innovation\, from genetics to environmental heal
th\, that expands our understanding of cancer causation. It also highlight
s how open science\, data sharing\, and global collaboration are redefinin
g what is possible in cancer research.\n\nTranslating research into Public
Health action\nScience only changes lives when it reaches the people i
t is meant to serve. This theme is about delivery: moving discoveries int
o practice to reduce risk\, detect cancer earlier\, and strengthen public
health capacity. It focuses on bridging the gap from evidence to measurabl
e improvements for people in diverse settings.\n\nScience-policy interface
for global change\nProgress happens when evidence drives action. This
theme focuses on the intersection where science guides decisions\, inspir
es collaboration\, and advances equitable cancer control. It highlights ho
w researchers\, governments\, and communities can work together to turn kn
owledge into solutions that last.\n\nOn the last day\, there will be an ev
ening for the general public\, open to everyone.\n\nREGISTRATION FEES &gt\
