SUMMARY:Precision Oncology Summer School 2024
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Cancéropôle CLARA\nThe Precision Onco
 logy Summer School 2024 will take place in Archamps from July 2 to July 10
 \, 2024.\n\nAdvances in precision medicine are enabling health-care provid
 ers to go beyond the “one-size-fits all” approach and instead to offer
  and plan individualised care to cancer patients.\n\nThe molecular charact
 erization of tumours and their micro-environment\, together with the appre
 ciation of their spatial and temporal heterogeneity\, are at the forefront
  of precision oncology.\n\nIncreased understanding of the molecular pathwa
 ys and complex gene-environment interactions which underlie cancer develop
 ment\, is opening the path to more effective prevention\, optimised treatm
 ent selection and delivery\, and enhanced clinical outcomes\, including qu
 ality of life.\n\n\nGoal of the school\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDevelop innovation pro
 jects in oncology through a transversal and transdisciplinary programme fo
 cusing on:\n\n 	Management (teamwork\, project management\, motivation wi
 thin the group\, scientific communication): Acquisition of “soft skills
 ” that go beyond traditional university courses\n 	Technological advance
 s (gene expression\, image processing\, …): Opening up to other scienti
 fic and technological fields (multidisciplinary)\n 	Entrepreneurship (inn
 ovation\, business model\, marketing\, communication\, intellectual proper
 ty\, ethics): Raising awareness of entrepreneurship as a potential career
