Dr Johanna Joyce is a Professor in the Department of Oncology UNIL CHUV (University of Lausanne and Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland). She is also the winner of the Pezcoller-Marina Larcher Fogazzaro-EACR Women in Cancer Research Award winner 2023.

Johanna’s research expertise is in cancer biology, immunology, and the tumour microenvironment. A major focus of her lab’s recent research has been to deeply and comprehensively interrogate the immune landscape of brain tumours, and use this knowledge to develop novel strategies to therapeutically target the tumour microenvironment.
